At the Jefferson city council’s Dec. 10 meeting, the last meeting of 2013, Gary, Larry and Harry were sworn in as council members effective Jan. 1, 2014. Gary Von Ahsen was re-elected to an at large seat, Larry Teeples was re-elected as District 1 council member, and Harry Ahrenholtz was elected in District 3 to a seat held by Bill Figenshaw for 16 years. They will serve four-year terms.
Also at the meeting, mayor Craig Berry recognized Figenshaw with a plaque for his service, and a reception in Figenshaw’s honor followed the meeting.
