Voters who plan to vote by absentee ballot are reminded that ballots must be postmarked no later than Nov. 3 to be valid in the Nov. 4 general election.
According to Greene County auditor Jane Heun, who is also commissioner of elections, more than 1,450 ballots have already be cast as absentee/early ballots. That’s more than 20 percent of the total number of registered voters, for the highest absentee vote in a gubernatorial election in Iowa.
For those who plan to vote on Election Day, polls will be open from 7 am to 9 pm. Voters in Precinct 2 in Jefferson are reminded that the polling location has been moved to Trinity Lutheran Church at 801 W. Lincoln Way.
Election results will be posted on GreeneCountyNewsOnline Tuesday night as soon as they are available.
