Annual Rotary Charity Auction is Nov. 20

Tickets available now for live event, online silent auction opens Nov. 14

The 28th annual Jefferson Rotary Club Charity Auction offers the best of both worlds, an in-person evening of dinner, fun and the auction on Friday, Nov. 20 at the Greene Room of the Wild Rose Casino along with an online auction, all to benefit many worthwhile projects in this area.

“We are happy to host again this special prime rib dinner and a live auction and couple it with user friendly online bidding opportunities to reach a wider audience,” said Sam Harding, auction chair.  “People will find our online format easy to use, and we’re excited by the great items we’ve lined up for  the auction,” he continued.

There are “pre-auction” items already available and the main event items will open online Saturday, Nov. 14.

Tickets to attend the event for individuals, couples or even a whole table are now available for the prime  rib dinner that also includes complimentary wine at each table. Delectable desserts will also be  auctioned as part of the fun, with all proceeds from that sweet auction going to college scholarships for Greene County seniors. Tickets can be purchased by going to the club’s website  www.jeffersonrotary.org for links. Auction account sign in information is also linked there.

From Saturday, Nov. 14 to Friday, Nov. 20, bidders can go online to join in the fun of bidding on silent  auction packages and items like tickets to unique events that bidders won’t find just anywhere.  Whitaker Auctions will again provide fun, fast-paced professional in-person auctioneering.

Some of the early items secured for the auction include a California wine country tour, a deluxe  recumbent trike, a two night stay at the romantic Elms Spa, a Caribbean cruise, an exclusive Hallmark  event in Kansas City, and a deluxe youth birthday package from Sky Zone. More items are being added.

For sports fans, the auction will offer collectibles, tickets to games and more.

The auction will also include home improvement items, home décor, gift baskets, tickets to many other  events and much more.

“We could not make this impact on our community and the world without those who attend, support and donate to the auction,” Harding continued. “We are so grateful for local businesses and individuals who make this event possible through their generosity. Our gratitude for this partnership is always shared when we award grants, more than  $25,000 from the 2025 auction, and $8,000 in scholarships.”

Proceeds from the 2025 auction went to 11 different groups.

In its 27 years, the Rotary Charity Auction has raised more than $700,000 for worthwhile causes in Greene County and across the globe through the Rotary International Foundation.
