In Greene County magistrate court a case against James William North of Jefferson was dismissed Oct. 12. Greene County assistant county attorney Laura Snider filed a motion to dismiss after a pretrial conference held Oct. 7.
North was charged with assault with intent to cause pain/injury after an alleged incident at the Webb House May 15. Although the charge was dismissed North must pay $60 court costs per a plea agreement between the parties. He may apply to the clerk of court to have the case expunged from his record after 180 days.
