The public is invited to a Poetry Guild open mic night Monday, Oct. 12, at 7 pm at the Gallup House, 703 S. Chestnut St, in Jefferson.
Poets will be welcome to share their original work. Organizers ask that each poem be no longer than three minutes. The slam will continue for one hour or until everyone has a chance to present at least once.
