The president is bugging Canada with tariffs, disputes about a bridge and his usual bullying political rhetoric, so Canada is preparing “hypothetical contingency plans in case of a U.S. military incursion on our soil,” according to the Canadian Broadcasting Company [CBC] and the New York Times.
For the third time during this administration, the U.S. president is physically best friends with Chinese leader Xi Jinping. Xi and his wife got the four-star treatment this time: the red carpet meet on the tarmac, the red carpet treatment at the White House, military fly-overs at Andrews Joint Air Force Base and the White House, a lavish dinner on the South Lawn, several slaps on Xi’s back from Trump as they did stuff, plus general suck-up from our leader like the gift of a three-foot-tall bald eagle statue.
All of this for a major Communist, the word being one of Trump’s favorite slurs for what he calls the “Dumbocrat” opposition here in the U.S.
The United States remains at war with Iran, even though our president has told us several times [29, according to Bloomberg] that the war is over. There have also been a few announcements from our president that he has opened the Strait of Hormuz, neglecting to admit that it’s been open for decades before his belligerent interference. And the president has said at least 38 times in the last eight weeks that he’s signed a peace agreement with Iran [CNN].
A president-proposed commemorative arch, if allowed to be built, will blot out several views of Arlington National Cemetery from the National Mall. The arch will also be a military installation with snipers and drones, the president claims.
This 250-foot bigly self-salute to Trump would endanger the landing path at Ronald Reagan National Airport. The Lincoln Memorial is only 99 feet high, and the famous Arc de Triomphe in Paris that Trump dares to copy is only 164 feet high.
On Sept. 22, at the 81st General Session of the United Nations, Trump was increasingly weird as he announced, in his king-like assumption, that Artificial Intelligence, or AI, would be “hereinafter officially called ‘Super Intelligence’.”
Trump thinks he’s getting his way, which he won’t, as his other name changes –- Gulf of America for Gulf of Mexico, Lake America for Lake Ontario and New America for New Mexico – haven’t worked.
–He never is stingy with untrue utterances: “I do not believe in letting problems fester.” What is Operation Epic Fury if not a festering nightmare with no end in sight?
— “While others have spoken of peace, I have made peace.” Again, the killing going on in Iran that he calls an “excursion” is not peace.
–“The Cuban regime has spent decades cultivating ties to Communist Party USA, Antifa and Democratic Socialists of America.” First of all, there is no official, capitalized group called Antifa; and second, the Democratic Socalists’ involvement with Cuba has to do with trying to mitigate our decades-long embargo of the island and other sanctions that harm the Cuban people and violate their right to self-determination; and third, according to independent verification from BBC, Politico and Cuban officials, Cuba has no interest in having anything to do with the U.S.
–“There is a right to remain a sovereign nation.” Tell that to Venezuela, Cuba, Greenland.
–Speaking of Iran, Trump promised to “drive them into hell,” as well as “annihilate” the Islamic Republic if a peace deal is not reached. The entire Iranian UN contingent marched out of the assembly as Trump lied not only to the world but to his own self about his peace-making life.
–Sending American citizens an ad this past Sunday about, guess what? Himself.
Trump and his title explain it all: “Final Battle.” [Don’t we wish?] The internet then tells me “Because of copyright and extractiveness {what does that mean?} policies, the full transcript of the voiceover cannot be fully produced here.”
I am flummoxed by the above, but I did see one section of the 30-second ad before I got the ‘cannot produce here’ BS, and he says: “…we will rout the fake news [which I take to mean all honest media] and we will liberate America from these villains once and for all.” There is no end to what he’ll say or do, this sorry man who, to our fright, continues to plug along, showing himself as the most morally reprehensive incarnation of a human in all of history.
