Iowa Central Community College has announced the 2026 Triton Hall of Fame class, which includes Doug McDermott of Jefferson, longtime Iowa Central board member.
The 2026 Triton Hall of Fame banquet will be held Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Triton Café on the Iowa Central campus. The annual event recognizes distinguished alumni, distinguished faculty and staff, Triton humanitarians, Triton athletes and Triton athletic teams for their accomplishments and contributions to Iowa Central and their communities.
The 2026 Hall of Fame honorees are:
- Doug McDermott — Triton Humanitarian Award
- David Fritz — Distinguished Alumni Award
- Dr. Gary Astor — Distinguished Faculty and Staff Award
- Gabby Marker — Triton Athletic Award
- Ron Nesbitt — Triton Athletic Award
- 1988-89 Men’s Basketball Team, coached by Dennis Pilcher — Triton Athletic Team Award
The evening will begin with a social hour at 4 p.m., followed by the induction ceremony at 5 pm A silent auction and cash bar will be available from 4 to 8 p.m.
Tickets are $40 per person, and a full table of eight is available for $320. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available online at www.iowacentral.edu/hof, at the Iowa Central Foundation Office or Iowa Central Bookstore.
Cocktail attire is requested.
