The Greene County High School students Destiny Hofbauer, Taylor Ross and Poppy Wetrich attended the Family, Creer and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) national leadership conference in Washington, DC, July 6-10. Teacher and advisor Lisa Garnett accompanied them.
In competitions held there, Ross earned a silver medal with her chapter service project display and Hofbauer received recognition for her early childhood education project.
“We competed, met fellow FCCLA members from all over the country as state pins were exchanged, attended informative workshops and sessions, watched a Washington Nationals Baseball game, and toured awesome sights in our nation’s capitol,” a spokesperson for the group said. “We are thankful for all of the support as we fundraised for this trip.”
