Persons who have driver’s license business to take care of in the Greene County treasurer’s office may want to call ahead before going to the courthouse.
Treasurer Katlynn Mechaelsen told the county supervisors at their July 6 meeting that the driver license clerk resigned. She said that without that employee, she will be the only person in the office with the correct training to handle drivers licenses.
Mechaelsen said she’d come up with a “do-able” schedule, as this is the busiest time of year in her office with tax billing time. She said she planned not to hire someone until October, after she and her staff are finished dealing with tax collections. “The goal is to train everybody in the office at this time,“ she said.
