Greene County district court, week ending June 19

In Greene County district court Conner Laine Groves, 29, of Scranton was sentenced June 16 to two years in prison after she pleaded guilty to a charge of harassment- first degree, amended from tampering with a juror. The prison term is concurrent to a term she is serving on an arson charge. She was fined $855 with a $128.25 surcharge; both were suspended. The court ruled she is unable to pay restitution for her court appointed attorney’s fees and court costs. (Sentencing: Honorable John R. Flynn)

Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignments as follows: Jared Michael Bielenberg, 37, of Coon Rapids, possession of methamphetamine; Jacob Nolan Stouwie, 33, of Grand Junction, possession of marijuana; Veronica Laine Ellsbury, 41, of Grand Junction, possession of methamphetamine; Brandy Lee Zinn, 37, of Duncombe, driving while license barred; Mikaela Anella Yonemura, 23, of Des Moines, possession of marijuana; Eric Thomas Winger, 45, of Jefferson, possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana; Lexi Frueh, 18, of Jefferson, criminal mischief- third degree; Shaun Harold Warnke, 47, of Scranton, driving while license barred; Bryant James Margetta, 39, of Jefferson, controlled substance violation and possession of controlled substance- second offense, and in a separate case, unlawful manufacture/deliver/ possession with intent to manufacture/deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substance- second offense, unlawful manufacture/deliver/possess w/ intent to manufacture or deliver mixture containing methamphetamine; Nickalos Andrew Brown, 30, of Lake City, driving while license barred; and Ian P. Nelson, 37, of Bouton, dominion/ control of firearm/ offensive weapon by domestic abuse offender. Trial dates were set for Aug. 25 in every case.

Cases were initiated in district court as follows: Connor Eugene Wood, 19, of Harcourt, operating while intoxicated; Max Sledge Leyendecker, 36, of Jefferson, forgery; and Jacob Paul Geisler, 23, of Churdan, operating while intoxicated.
