Greene County district court, week ending April 10

In Greene County district court Jay Dolliver Orsack, 58, of Churdan was sentenced April 10 to 15 years in prison, with credit for time served, after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of criminal mischief- second degree, habitual offender. The prison term is concurrent to terms in two other Greene County felony cases. (Sentencing: Honorable Joseph B. McCarville)

Landon Arthur Vote, 17, of Paton pleaded not guilty April 1 to charges of criminal mischief- second degree and burglary- third degree. A trial date was set for June 16.

Information is available since the return of an arrest warrant that Tanya Marie Helmrichs, 46, of Guthrie Center is charged with burglary- third degree, attempted burglary- third degree, theft- second degree (two counts), and criminal mischief- second degree (two counts). The warrant was issued March 7 and returned April 6.

Cases were initiated in district court as follows: Jaren Michael Bielenberg, 36, of Coon Rapids, possession of methamphetamine; and Jacob Nolan Stouwie, 43, of Grand Junction, possession of marijuana.
