Greene County district court, week ending March 27

In Greene County district court Michael Paul Hanlon, 38, of Paton was granted a deferred judgment after he pleaded guilty to a charge of harassment- first degree. He was placed on probation to Boone/County Probation for two years. He must pay a $855 civil penalty and restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees not to exceed $750. Court costs were $100. Steven Caleb Jensen, 29, of Rippey pleaded not guilty at arraignment to a charge of domestic abuse assault impeding blood/air flow. A trial date was set for May 12.

Information is available since the return of an arrest warrant that Jerry Lee Webb, 40, of Kansas City, MO, is charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a short-barrel rifle/shotgun. The case was initiated Dec. 25, 2023; the warrant was returned March 27.

Cases were initiated during the week ending March 27 as follows: Shawn Michael Jones, 42, of Fort Dodge, theft- fourth degree, forgery (two counts), and identity theft less than $1,500 (two counts); Dakota Rae Sheer, 34, of Rippey, false report of indictable offense to public entity and false report to public safety entity; and Braeden Michael Turner, 18, of Jefferson, sexual exploitation of minor- cause to engage in sex act (six counts), and purchase/possess depiction of minor in sex act.
