The blue oval at Drake University will host the Greene County boys 4×100 meter relay team after a 44.84 second performance at home last Monday, helping the team tie for second ahead of an eighth place team performance on Thursday in Carroll.
The Rams competed at Gilbert High School on Monday, April 22, and will compete at Roland-Story on Thursday. The 4×100 meter relay team will run in the preliminary race Saturday at 10:12 am at Drake Stadium. Next week, the Rams will compete at North Polk High School on Monday, April 29, with the Heart of Iowa Conference meet on Thursday, May 2, at South Hamilton High School.
Trey Schilling, Nathan Behne, Broc Stream and Nick Madsen qualified for the 4×100 meter relay with the 95th fastest time, just making the 96 team cutoff for the Drake Relays. The team placed second at Monday’s Ram Relays.
Also taking top places on Monday were the 4×400 meter relay team of Nick Stream, Drew Wolterman, Lane Fields and Broc Stream, the 4×800 meter relay team of Gavyn Winters, Isaac Karber, Crew Conner and Noah Hinote, and the distance medley group of Schilling, Behne, Madsen and Drew Wolterman, all placing first. The shuttle hurdle relay team of Aden Bardole, Eli Mohr, Patrick Graham and Fields placed fourth, and the 4×200 meter relay of Strennen, N. Stream, Zack Stalder and B. Stream finished fifth.
Individual top placers were Madsen in the 200 meter dash taking first; Isaac Carman placing second in discus; Fields in high jump and B. Stream in long jump, each finishing third. Fourth place was achieved by Kamden Kinne in shot put, Fields in 110 meter hurdles, Hinote in the 1600 meter run and Brady Carstensen in the 3200 meter run. Gavyn Winters in the 800 meter run and Jaden Koller in the 3200 meter run each finished fifth.

The team competed at Carroll High School on Thursday, placing eighth as a team. Wolterman had a second place finish in the 400 meter dash, with B. Stream taking third in the long jump. Fields placed fourth in 400 meter hurdles, Hinote taking fourth in the 800 meter and 3200 meter runs. Carman had a fifth place discus finish.
Schilling, N. Stream, Wolterman and Madsen grabbed first place in the 800 meter sprint medley race, with B. Stream, N. Stream, Winters and Wolterman finishing third in the 4×400 meter relay.
