Greene County magistrate court, week ending April 18

In Greene County magistrate court Melissa Marie Rysavy of Scranton was found guilty at a non-jury trial April 10 of public consumption of alcohol. She was sentenced to four days in jail, concurrent to a sentence in a Boone County case. She was fined $105; the fine was suspended. Rysavy must pay $220 court costs and $676.08 restitution for her court appointed attorney’s fees. (Sentencing: Magistrate Jessica Morton)

Jessie James Sanders of Jefferson was sentenced to 15 days in jail, with credit for time served, after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of interference with official acts. He was fined $250 with a $37.50 surcharge. He must pay an amount not to exceed $300 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees and $60 court costs. (Sentencing: Honorable Joseph B. Zein Mohammed Ibrahim of Harcourt was sentenced to seven days in jail on each of two counts of violation of a no contact order. In a separate case, he was sentenced to identical jail terms on each of two counts of violation of a no contact order. The jail terms are all concurrent. Court costs were $454.40 in the first case and $146 in the second case. (Sentencing: McCarville)

Cases were initiated in magistrate court as follows: Austin Taylor Lawrence of Urbandale, possession of drug paraphernalia; Christian Michael O’Brien of Jefferson, possession of drug paraphernalia; Phillip Dean Amos of Jefferson, possession of drug paraphernalia; Jason Dean Smits of Jefferson, possession of drug paraphernalia; Kristin Lee Johannesen of Mesa, AZ, possession of drug paraphernalia; and Jane Frances Ham of Boone, simulated public intoxication.
