Chapter CZ of P.E.O. awards scholarship

The Chapter CZ of P.E.O. scholarship for 2023 was awarded to Katie Marshall of Marion recently. Marshall is completing her bachelor’s degree in early childhood administration at Purdue University Global and the $400 scholarship from Chapter CZ is being utilized to reach this goal. She earned her associate’s degree in early childhood education from Hawkeye Community College in 2015 and has worked in the early childhood programs for 10 years.  The wife of Adam Marshall, Greene county native, her mother-in-law Kathy Marshall recommended her for the scholarship. Katie and Adam have two children.

P.E.O. Chapter CZ has offered scholarships since 1990 to local women or those with local connections who are continuing their education.  P.E.O. International also has a number of scholarship opportunities for women.  Information on these is available from Chapter CZ officers or scholarship committee.

P.E.O. is an international philanthropic organization where women celebrate the advancement of women; educate women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans, and stewardship of Cottey College and motivate women to achieve their highest aspirations.
