Calling all poets and poetry lovers –
The Community Players of Greene County and the Greene County Historical Society will present “An Afternoon of Poetry” Sunday, April 23, at 2 pm at the historical museum on E. Lincoln Way in Jefferson.
This will be the local celebration of April as National Poetry Month. Area residents who enjoy poetry are encouraged to attend.
All area poets, published or unpublished, are invited to share their original poetry in an open mic format. Poems by former or deceased residents, or poems by those with close ties to Greene County, may also be read.
There will be no admission charge and refreshments will be served.
To help in planning, poets who plan to read or recite are asked to email their intentions to the Community Players at cpgcia@gmail.com. Notification is requested, not required.
