The Scranton United Charity Drive has been completed. Thanks to the generous donations from people in the Scranton area, a total of $7,815 was distributed to local charities in the area.
The break down of the donations are: Greene County Food Pantry (ARC), $596; Community Opportunities, $343; Scranton Little League, $681; Scranton Fishing Day, $388; Scranton Community Center, $981; Scranton Fire Dept., $2,101; Scranton Public Library, $566; Scranton Park & Rec, $391; Sweet Treats, $427; Local Emergency/Disaster Funds, $266; and other, $1,075
The volunteers on the United Charity Board appreciate the donations and the assistance of the Scranton community in this once-a-year project.
