Greene County sophomore Noah Hinote finished 101st of 132 runners in the Class 2A state cross country meet held Oct. 28 in Fort Dodge.
Hinote ran the 5000 meter course in 18:37.67.
The winning time of 15:50.62 was set by was set by Aaron Fynaardt of Des Moines Christian. Des Moines Christian won the team title with 75 points, 24 points ahead of second place Milford.
Hinote was the only Ram to qualify for the state meet. He ran the course in 17:33.26 at the qualifying meet. He had two other faster times during the season, assuming courses were accurately measured. His time at the Saydel meet was 18:14 and his time at South Central Calhoun was 18:27.
