Four Greene County vocalists were selected to participate in the Iowa Opus Honor Choir. Opus is an honor choir opportunity for students in grades 5-9, sponsored by the Iowa Choral Directors Association. Every year, thousands of students submit taped auditions and four choirs of 180 students are selected to participate.
These students will rehearse on the Iowa State University campus with guest conductors Thursday, Nov. 17, and then perform at C.Y. Stephens Auditorium.
Students selected are fifth grader Delaney Pedersen, sixth graders Gabriel Gerzema and Cheyenne Clouse, and ninth grader William Graham. Delaney, Gabe and Cheyenne are students of Brenda Roberts, and William is a student of Dave Heupel.
