Medical center lab adds hours, decreases prices

The lab at Greene County Medical Center has extended hours and reduced the costs of screenings and tests to make services more convenient and affordable to residents of Greene County.

The lab at the medical center will be open and offering services Monday through Friday from 6 am to  7pm with no appointment needed. The lab has expanded services to offer a larger variety of screenings and tests at reduced rates. The medical center lab services consist of a full array of diagnostic and follow-up testing, and patients can expect same day results from more than 100 tests done at our facility.

“Extending our hours in the lab and making tests more affordable is just another way that we are Always Here, Always Caring for our patients,” said Jo Hart, director of laboratory services. “We hope that by making our services more convenient, it will motivate residents of Greene County to stay on top of their health.”

Lab services include COMP tests, CBC tests, LIPID panel, hematology, chemistry, coagulation, blood banking, urinalysis, thyroid screenings, prostate screenings, blood type, and much more including miscellaneous testing.

Wellness screenings do NOT require a physician order, and are provided at the reduced cost of now $40. The wellness panel includes COMP tests, CBC tests, LIPID panel, complete blood count, and more.
