Public info session about Grand Junction solar project slated

Grand Junction Solar, LLC (“Grand Junction Solar”), a subsidiary of National Grid Renewables proposes to construct an up to 100 MW utility scale solar project and associated up to 50 MW battery energy storage system in Greene County, Iowa (the “Project”). The Project will generate clean, low-cost solar energy and generate a new source of tax revenue for families and businesses in the region.

A public informational meeting regarding the Project will be held by the Iowa Utilities Board. At the meeting, additional details of the proposed Project will be presented. Time will also be given to address questions from attendees. You have the right to be present at this informational meeting and to file comments with the Iowa Utilities Board if you so choose.

Details of the public informational meeting are as follows:

-When: Monday, June 27, at 5:30 pm

-Where: Grand Junction Community Center, 212 Main St E, Grand Junction, IA

Grand Junction Solar has signed a combination of solar easements and purchase options to accommodate construction, access, and long-term operation for the proposed Project. Below is a map showing the proposed location of the Project. Land rights for the Project are already secured, and Grand Junction Solar will continue to work with landowners within the footprint should additional accommodations be necessary for the Project.
