Medical Center adds cosmetic clinic with local provider

Diana Smith, ARNP

Greene County Medical Center will offer a cosmetic clinic beginning May 6. The clinic will be held the first Friday of each month with Family Medicine Clinic provider Diana Smith, ARNP.

Expanding our services available at Greene County Medical Center allows the community to have access to these specialty services locally and ensures that our patients are getting the highest quality care we can offer,” said Dr. Laurie Connolly, chief medical officer at Greene County Medical Center. “Diana Smith, ARNP, has been a well-liked provider in the Greene County Family Medicine Clinic over the last few years, and we are excited for her to expand her services at the medical center.”

Smith will provide Botox injections, fillers for the lips and face, chemical brow-lifts, lip enhancements, treatments for wrinkles and age-lines, and other non-surgical cosmetic options for both men and women with no referral needed.

Smith began her nursing career in the neonatal intensive care unit at Minneapolis Children’s Hospital. She entered the masters of nursing program at the University of Cincinnati in March 2010. That year, she also returned to Iowa and, while completing her advanced degree, was employed by Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson.

After graduating with her master’s degree in March 2012, she accepted a position in dermatology at UnityPoint Health in Fort Dodge, where she received advanced training in the administration of Botox and Juvederm. In early 2014, she accepted a position with Wellendorf ENT in Carroll, where she treated a wide variety of patients with ear, nose and throat problems to basic skin health and advanced skin care. Currently, Smith is a provider in the Greene County Family Medicine Clinic as an advance registered nurse practitioner and is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

Appointments with the cosmetic clinic for Friday, May 6, can be scheduled through Greene County Family Medicine Clinic by calling 515-386-0491. These services are self-pay at the time of service.
