Tickets for BOOST 2021 available now

After an eventful 2020 and a virtual event held last year, the BOOST committee is eagerly looking forward to an in-person event again this year with a few changes for 2021.

The 4th annual BOOST Bash is scheduled for Saturday, July 24, and this year will be held at the Greene County Fairgrounds in the Clover Hall building. The doors will open at 5 pm with dinner to begin at 6:30pm. Also different this year will be that seats will not be “assigned” except by purchasing a table. Tables will seat up to eight people, so attendees are encouraged to gather people they feel comfortable sitting with and purchase a table.

Single tickets will also be sold and those will be self-seating this year so that people can space out however they feel comfortable.

Gluten-free and vegetarian options will also be available for the meal by selecting that preference when purchasing tickets.  Tables or tickets can be purchased at  www.boostgreenecountyschools.com.

The BOOST committee is also currently accepting donations to be included in the auction, sponsorships that will be recognized, or monetary by preference.  Donors can contact BOOST at gcschoolsboost@gmail.com to speak to committee members about this or directly mail checks to Greene County Schools BOOST / P.O. Box 4 / Jefferson, Iowa 50129.  Checks can be made out to Greene County Educational Foundation. Please put BOOST in the memo line so donations can be properly identified.

BOOST stands for Bringing Optimism & Opportunities to Students & Teachers, and all proceeds from this event will directly impact students and teachers in the Greene County Community School District. The event includes a social, dinner, live and silent auctions, and recognition of the great things happening at GCCSD.

The three previous years have brought in a total of $170,000.  This ongoing support from the community has created wonderful new opportunities for Greene County students and teachers. Examples of the funded projects include field trips, musical instruments, virtual business simulations, equipment for nursing training, and supplemental reading materials. A full list for the funding provided each year is available on the BOOST website.

Due to space and social distancing, tickets and tables that are being sold are limited, and the in-person events from the first two years sold out; so reserve your admission today! Check out our website and like us on Facebook (BOOST – Greene County, IA) to keep updated as the event gets closer.  “Thanks for your continued support; we can’t wait to see you on July 24th, 2021,” a spokesperson said.
