Suspect arrested for Peoples Bank robbery

A Fort Dodge man was arrested Saturday and 10:30 am and charged with the Feb. 25 robbery of Scranton office of Peoples Bank

According to a press release from Greene County sheriff Jack Williams, Zachary Michael Anderson Wailes, 27, of Fort Dodge has been charged with robbery- first degree and theft- first degree.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Iowa Gaming Enforcement, the sheriff’s offices of Carroll, Calhoun and Boone counties, and the police departments of Carroll, Lake City, Boone and Ames.

The case remains under investigation.
