In Greene County district court Julie Diane Mulder, 51, of Jefferson was sentenced Feb. 25 to one year in jail after she changed her plea to guilty to a charge of operating while intoxicated. All but two days of the jail time was suspended and she was placed on informal probation to the Greene County sheriff for one year. She may complete a 48-hour Prime of Life drinking drivers’ course in lieu of the jail time. She must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at her own expense. Mulder was fined $1,250 with a $187.50 surcharge; one-half will be waived if she obtains a temporary restricted license. Court costs were $176.50. (Sentencing: Honorable Joseph B. McCarville)
Christopher Herbert Lawrence, 40, of Ames was sentenced to two yers in prison after he pleaded guilty to a charge of harassment- first degree, amended from assault while displaying dangerous weapon. The prison term was suspended and he was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. He was fined $855 with a $128.25 surcharge; both were suspended. The court found Lawrence unable to pay restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees and court costs. (Sentencing: McCarville)
