Extension slates info meetings on Farm Bill program

With a March 15 deadline approaching for ag producers’ Farm Bill program, ISU Extension & Outreach want to help producers decide whether Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) or Price Loss Coverage (PLC) is the best for their farm. Using the decision tools Iowa State University Extension and Outreach has developed will help producers make a more informed decision for this vital economic safety net for most American farms.

To address these crop marketing strategy issues, three different ag marketing club meetings in Central Iowa are scheduled, hosted by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach offices.

  • Monday, Feb. 8, 6:30 pm, Ogden Community Center, 114 SW 8th St.
  • Tuesday, Feb. 9, 6:30 pm, First State Bank, 413 East St, Lynnville
  • Wednesday, Feb. 17, 6:30 pm, Grundy Center Community Center, 705 F. Ave

The featured speaker will be Patrick Hatting, ISU Extension farm management specialist, presenting on:

  • ARC/PLC annual decision and how to use the decision tool in the Ag Decision Maker website
