Farm Bureau seeks scholarship apps from members’ graduating seniors

Greene County Farm Bureau is accepting scholarship applications for the 2021 school year. Graduating high school seniors will be chosen to receive awards at the county level and one applicant will be selected for consideration for the Iowa Farm Bureau’s $2,500 state scholarship, renewable for four years (up to $10,000).

Eligibility is reserved for seniors whose parent(s) are current paid Greene County Farm Bureau members in good standing with the organization. To be considered, the graduating high school senior must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average, be involved in extra-curricular activities, and accepted into an accredited higher education institution, including community colleges and technical schools.

To apply, students must demonstrate their leadership and community involvement and submit a printed essay detailing how they would use a scholarship award to support Iowa Farm Bureau’s mission of creating a vibrant future for agriculture, farm families, and their communities.

Applications are due to Greene County Farm Bureau, 201 E. Harrison St, Jefferson, IA 50129; postmarked on or before Feb. 26. The application is available at https://www.iowafarmbureau.com/Member-Benefits/Iowa-Farm-Bureau-Scholarships.
