4-H-to-Go STEM projects part of school sack lunches

Greene County Extension staff delivered 670 4-H-to-Go STEM kits to Greene County and Paton-Churdan schools to be handed out with school lunches last week. “Each kit has directions and supplies for youth to complete an unplugged STEM activity,” said Kayla Willms, Greene County Youth & 4-H coordinator.

Kits are financially sponsored by the Greene County 4-H Young Leader Team. “This is a way for Greene County Extension to show our support to our youth during this difficult time and give back to our community,” said Willms.

The Extension staff will deliver 4-H-to-Go kits to Paton-Churdan on Wednesdays and Greene County on Thursdays throughout the month of April. Families can share their results with using the hashtag #greenecounty4hstem.

Families who don’t get lunch through the school and would like kits can pick them up in the foyer at the Extension office at 104 W. Washington St in Jefferson, Monday-Friday from 9 to 11 am.
