HOLIDAY GATHERING – Virgene Morse enjoyed Thanksgiving in the home of her daughter and family, Terry and Diane Ostendorf of Madrid. Others enjoying the day were the Ostendorfs’ children Ben and his friend Ashley, Sam and Michaela Van De Berg, and Madelyn Ostendorf. Their niece Kelsey Blanshan was also a guest.

Regrets were sent from Kevin and Delores Blanshan who were visiting their son Eric and Dana Blanshan, and their new grandson Jack Michael in Centreville, VA.

TWO EVENTS – Last week Dale and Nancy Hanaman traveled to Superior, WI, to visit with their daughter Sarah and family, and to celebrate their granddaughter Andrea’s 13th birthday. Dale and Nancy accompanied a group to Andrea’s party and enjoyed a birthday meal with the new teenager.

Thanksgiving guests of the Hanamans included their granddaughter, Adyara Hanaman of Eau Claire, WI, and her friend Nick Pedersen of St. Cloud, MN. Adyara and Nick are students at UW-River Falls. Their son and his wife, Matthew and Heather Hanaman of Eau Claire, also gathered with Dale and Nancy for Thanksgiving and a few days after.

PAM ENJOYS VISIT – Jean Borgeson was one of several friends who were able to spend Thanksgiving in the home of Pam Chance in Jamaica. Pam, who is still recovering from a stroke at On With Life in Ankeny, was able to spend the day and night under the supervision of her daughter and husband, Melissa and Robert Borgeson. All I can say is, if “laughter is the best medicine,” she certainly had a big dose of it!

The day brought out the best in the cooks and there was plenty for everyone to take home their supper and probably lunch the next day!

Saturday evening Jean Borgeson enjoyed her three sons and their families for supper at ToJo ’s. Besides having everyone at the same table, another advantage is no one has to cook and everyone orders what they like! Those attending were Michael and Jill, Jace and Seth; Robert and Melissa; and Alan, Sarah, Kane and Kale, and Jenna Beyers.
