Story time in Churdan starts Wednesday

Preschool story times at the Churdan public library will resume Wednesday, Sept. 18, from 9:30 to 10:30 am. There will also be a special story time for children 2 years old or younger at 9 am. The story times are sponsored partially by funds received through Communities 4 Children and Community Partnerships for Protecting Children Neighborhood/Community Network mini grants.

Eks host Patriot Day dinner

More than 60 military veterans, active duty military personnel, firefighters, peace officers, and paramedics/EMTs attended a Patriot Day dinner hosted by the Jefferson Elks lodge Sept. 11.
