JPRD coed softball league finishes season

The Jefferson park and recreation coed softball league finished the season with a league tournament Tuesday, Aug. 20.

The four teams in the league played Tuesday and Thursday evenings beginning July 16. Win-loss records going into the tournament were Bob Squad 11-4, Crackin’ Bats 10-5, Hit Faced 7-7-1, and 515 Softball Club 1-13-1.

In the tournament, Bomb Squad played 515 Softball Club, with Bomb Squad winning 18-8. Crackin Bats faced Hit Faced; Hit Faced won 20-18. In the championship game, Hit Faced topped Bomb Squad 11-8 to claim the traveling trophy and bragging rights until the 2020 season.
