Jerry Roberts will be presented with the Greene County Impact Award this Sunday, June 2, at 3 pm in the courthouse rotunda. A reception will follow the award presentation. All friends and family are invited to attend.
Roberts has volunteered at the Jefferson public library, has served in a variety of positions in the local and state Elks organization, wrote and narrated the musical production “Eva” for the Greene County Historical Society, was emcee for the Historical Society’s Downton Abbey Tea, and has co-moderated Historical Society “chats” at the county fair.
He served on the Genesis Development board of directors for six years and was board president in 2017.
Roberts was one of the creators of the Impact Award 10 years ago and has been the master of ceremonies each year. Chuck and Carla Offenburger will lead the ceremony this year, with speakers from the library, Historical Society, Elks, and county supervisors. Nicole Freiss-Schilling, the lead in “Eva”, will sing.
