Greene County Elementary is naming one student in each grade the GCE Ram of the Month again this school year. These students are chosen by the staff for almost always being respectful, responsible, and safe. They also exhibit the school’s mantra – Right Attitudes Make Success.

All four Greene County branches of Peoples Bank are now operating on solar power as part of the company’s new solar energy initiative, Power Up @ Peoples. Eight branches have been converted to solar energy and nine level-two solar car charging stations are at the bank’s Clive, Waukee and Adel locations.

Kim Reynolds, Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig and Department of Natural Resources acting director Bruce Trautman invite Iowans to nominate families in their communities for the Farm Environmental Leader Award. Farmers who voluntarily take actions like planting cover crops or installing conservation infrastructure in their fields are eligible for the award.
