Third and fourth graders at Greene County, Paton-Churdan, and those who are home-schooled are invited  to create a conservation poster using the theme “Water Is Life” for the annual Greene SWCD (Soil & Water Conservation District) contest.

Greene County Schools are partnering with the Iowa Department of Transportation to offer the “Skip the Trip” program. “Skip the Trip” allows students to take the driver knowledge (written) test at Greene County Middle School or Greene County High School. High school seniors who reside in Greene County are invited and encouraged to apply for scholarships offered by the Greene County Soil & Water Conservation Club and Greene County Soil & Water Conservation District. Each scholarship is for $500.
