The Rams softball team lost 4-0 to the North Polk Comets Thursday in a game rescheduled from June 6 due to weather. The Comets are ranked #6 in Class 3A softball. The Comets are now 5-2 in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference and 10-4 overall. It was the fourth consecutive loss for the Rams, who are 3-11 overall and 3-5 in the conference.
Samantha Hardaway started on the pitching rubber for the Rams and pitched the first three innings. Jenna Beyers pitched the last three innings. Between them they gave up nine hits. The Rams were charged with three errors.
The Rams had only three hits for the game – a pair of doubles by Danielle Hoyle and a single by Megan Carey.
