Sign-up and distribution of farmers market senior coupons will take place Monday and Tuesday, June 11-12, and Thursday, June 14, from 8 to 11 am at the Greenewood Community Center on Greenewood Road in Jefferson.
The program is available to persons age 60 and older who are single with a yearly income less than $22,459 or married with a combined yearly income less than $30,451.
Persons will need to provide their birth date and the last four numbers of their social security number at sign-up.
Coupons can be redeemed for produce at Iowa farmers’ markets now through Oct. 31, 2018. Most vendors at the Greene County Farmers’ market in Jefferson and at Deals Orchard can accept the coupons.
