Prom is this Saturday

Public invited to see decorations, watch grand march

The Greene Room Events Center at Wild Rose – Jefferson will be transformed into a “Starry Night” for the Greene County junior-senior this Saturday, April 7.

The public is invited to view the prom decorations Saturday from 4 to 5:30 pm. There is no admission charge to see the decorations, and parents and the public can take pictures there before the evening’s festivities begin.

The community is invited to watch the grand march as students take “A Walk to Remember” from 6 to 6:30 pm at the Greene County courthouse. Students will start the grand march on the south side of the courthouse and walk down the sidewalk by the Bell Tower and then return to their vehicles. In case of inclement weather, the grand march will be held at the Greene County Community Center.

The banquet and prom will both be at the Greene Room.

The dance will end at 11:30 pm. Students will be directed to leave Wild Rose on Highway 4 with traffic assistance from the Jefferson police department.

The after-prom party will begin at midnight at the middle school. The theme for the after-prom party is “Moonlight Memories.” The party will end at 3 am. Co-chairs of the after-prom party are Heather Dennhardt, Teresa Hoyle and Heather  Wuebker.
