Tickets available for BOOST Bash to benefit Greene County schools

Tickets are on sale through March 9 for the inaugural BOOST Bash, slated for Saturday, March 24, at the Greene Room at Wild Rose Casino in Jefferson.

BOOST is an acronym for Bringing Opportunities and Optimism for our Students and Teachers. Community members came together to plan this event that will directly benefit the students, teachers and classrooms of the Greene County Community School District.

Teachers Kevin Paulsen (left) and Kevin Richards (right) will emcee the BOOST Bash.

Proceeds from the event will fund things such as field trips, science dissection kits, hygiene kits, the school “Clothes Closet,” 3D computers/printers, equipment rentals, project supplies, classroom materials and more.

The BOOST Bash will include a social hour, dinner, a celebration of the Greene County schools, recognition of positive things happening at GCCSD, and live and silent auctions. Kevin Paulsen and Kevin Richards will be emcees.

Tickets are $25 per person and are available at www.boostgreenecountyschools.com or by mail at Greene County Schools BOOST, PO Box 4, Jefferson, IA 50129. Checks should be payable to Greene County Educational Foundation with “BOOST tickets” or “BOOST donation” in the memo line.

Seventy tickets have been purchased by community members for a free raffle for GCCSD staff members who want to attend the event.
