The Greene County Rams lost a pair of Heart of Iowa Activities Conference games in Story City to the Roland-Story Norsemen Tuesday. The boys game can be considered an upset, as the Norsemen had only two wins on the season and eight losses as they faced the 8-5 Rams.

Speech groups advance to state contest
The Greene County High School speech team will have five events at the state large group speech contest Saturday, Feb. 3. Six groups competed in the district contest last Saturday at Roosevelt High School in Des Moines. The contests are held under the auspices of the Iowa High School Speech Association.
