The local veterans groups will host a soup supper Friday, Sept. 22, from 5 to 7 pm at the VFW hall on the east side of the courthouse square.
The menu includes chili, chicken noodle soup, desserts and beverages. A free will donation will be accepted, with proceeds to benefit the American Legion, the VFW, and the VFW auxiliary.
The veterans also remind residents that they’re able to properly dispose of tattered or faded American flags. Bring them to the soup supper or use the convenient flag deposit box in the alley behind the building.
