Veterans serving soup supper Friday

The local veterans groups will host a soup supper Friday, Sept. 22, from 5 to 7 pm at the VFW hall on the east side of the courthouse square. The menu includes chili, chicken noodle soup, desserts and beverages. A free will donation will be accepted, with proceeds to benefit the American Legion, the VFW, and the VFW auxiliary.

Schools tell homecoming plans

Homecoming court announced Homecoming at Greene County High School is slated for Friday, Sept. 29, with the student council planning fun activities on a theme “Home Sweet Homecoming” all next week.
