Home State Bank in Jefferson is initiating a new service to the community. The bank will present the Extraordinary Citizen award as part of its monthly Extraordinary Friday event.
This award will be given by HSB to an extraordinary Greene County resident or group who has gone above and beyond expectations by giving time and/or resources to benefit the community.
The resident or group must be nominated by another Greene County resident. Whether it was once or multiple times, the nominator should recognize the “something extraordinary” performed once or multiple times by the person/group.
A diverse panel of HSB staff will review the nominations and select the most outstanding individual or group for the award. Nominations will be compiled to be considered for future awards.
The first award will be presented on Friday, Oct. 13, during the bank’s Extraordinary Friday event. The winner will receive $100 donated to the charity of his/her/their choice.
