FFA starts new school year

The Greene County FFA chapter held its back-to-school family meeting Aug. 29, where members welcomed new members and their families.

During the summer chapter members participated in events such as COLT officer training to prepare officers for their upcoming year of service and the district livestock judging at the Cass County Fair where they placed fourth overall.

Members Bailey Godwin, Wade Wuebker, C.J. Muir, Gwen black, Kara and Kolin Reed, Tressa Rasmussen and Chloe Anderson showed a variety of exhibits at the Iowa State Fair.

During the Labor Day weekend the Greene County FFA livestock judging team competed at the Guthrie County Fair and earned second place.
