Income limits told for free, reduced-cost school meals

The Iowa Department of Education has announced the income guidelines for meals at a free or reduced price for students for the 2017-18 school year.

The income range for free meals starts with a household of one with a yearly income of $15,678 and goes to a household of eight with a yearly income of $53,716.

The income range for reduced-cost meals starts with a household of one with an annual income of $22,311 and goes to a household of eight with an annual income of $76,442.

The Greene County and Paton-Churdan school offices will have application forms prior to school registration next month. Click here to see the official notification from the Iowa Department of Education.
