The Scranton parks and recreation committee is holding a naming contest for the park at the corner of State and Eagle Sts. This park is getting an entirely new playground that will be complete with a new climber system, toddler climber, rock climbing wall, ten spinner and swings.
The new playground will be safe and inviting for all ages.
There is no limit on the number of entries in the naming contest. All name ideas must be received to Scranton city hall no later than Friday, June 30, at 4 pm. Names can also be submitted online at www.scrantoniowa.com .
Entries should contain: 1. suggested name for the park; 2. a brief explanation of why that name is the best one for the park (optional); and 3. submitter’s name, address, email and phone number.
