The 40th annual Bike Ride to Rippey (BRR), organized by the Perry Chamber of Commerce with member sponsorships, drew an estimated 500 bicyclists.
The roads were dry and clear, as were the shoulders. The temperature was in the lower 40s as afternoon arrived, but strong winds made it feel much colder. More than one cyclist was blown over by gusts.
The Rippey fire department’s beer tent was a popular place. The Lions Club and the United Methodist Church youth group – THUGS- both served successful fundraising lunches.
