Greene County Medical Center CEO Carl Behne invites the public to join him at Homestead Coffee & Bakery on Thursday, Feb. 9, at 7:30 am as he ramps up a new round of “Coffee with Carl” discussions for 2017.
When it was initially started in 2013, “Coffee with Carl” was an informal event providing the public with medical center news and updates surrounding the capital campaign and the upcoming expansion and renovation project. Both of these projects are now complete.
The coffees were successful throughout 2013 and 2014, and Behne thinks they will be successful again now. He noted, “There are a whole lot of state and federal changes that have happened – or are happening – in healthcare, and it’s important to share those changes and their impact with the community.”
The public is encouraged to attend this informal event where coffee and a breakfast snack will be provided. Behne will share some brief insights on the healthcare landscape and then hit on issues specifically impacting the medical center and the population it serves. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers.
Behne said, “Meeting with the public is an informal and fun way to get out and share our story. With so much happening in the delivery of healthcare, it’s important that community members have an opportunity to hear things firsthand. These coffees are a good way to do that.”
Future coffees will be scheduled throughout the county in the coming months. If you or your organization would like to host one, please contact Carla Offenburger, community relations director, at 515-386-0109.
