A basketball court and a larger concession stand at Spring Lake park are planned for the coming summer, along with electrical upgrades at Squirrel Hollow Park and Hyde Park, according to county conservation director Dan Towers.

Ram boys improve to 7-2 in HOIAC with win over North Polk
The Greene County boys varsity basketball team got its second win for the season over the North Polk Comets, this time in Jefferson by a 70-49 score. Their first meeting in Alleman in December was a tight 47-43 victory for the Rams.

They ended the evening 3-0 with wins over Belmond-Klemme 63-9, St Edmond 60-12, and Denison-Schleswig 60-11.
