Central Iowans are asked to be on the lookout for a red 2000 Oldsmobile Alero with Iowa license plate SBK 344. Anyone who sees the vehicle should immediately call their local law enforcement agency.
The driver of the car has been identified as Ronald Steenhoek, 43. He allegedly robbed a motorist at gun point while dressed as a Boone police department officer, according to the Iowa State Patrol Monday evening.
Steenhoek is described as a white male about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, with blonde hair and a scruffy blonde beard. He is said to be dressed in the style of a police officer or security guard. He pulled over at least one motorist and proceeded to steal the person’s cell phone and car keys at gun point, according to the state broadcast.
