Greene County hosted a quadrangular wrestling meet Tuesday, Jan. 3. They ended the evening 3-0 with wins over Belmond-Klemme 63-9, St Edmond 60-12, and Denison-Schleswig 60-11. The Rams were able to insert some underclassmen into the lineup where the other teams had open weights to gain a forfeit score.
The team competed in a Friday night tournament Jan. 6. The Rams were third in the North Polk round robin tournament in Alleman while Isaiah Yoder and Hunter Ruth, the only two seniors on the team, were individual champions.
GC 60 ~ St Edmond 12
The Rams had four victories and two losses with eight St Edmond forfeits to defeat the Gaels 60-12.
Garrett Tasler (106/113) won his three matches, two by decision and one by fall. Others went 3-0 on the night by way of forfeit wins.

NORTH POLK TOURNAMENT
Grinnell won the team title with 274 points. Greene County was third with 186. Isaiah Yoder won an individual championship at 182 pounds, pinning four opponents and receiving a forfeit for the title. Hunter Ruth received two byes and pinned three men at 220 pounds for first place.
Freshman Garrett Tasler and junior Cayden Gerdes each placed second, while freshmen Will Hansen and freshman Joel Ward, sophomore Brock Wuebker, and junior Caden Wilson all placed third.
